Liebe Studierende, dear students,
wir haben uns entschieden, die Bewerbungsfrist auf den 06.01.2023 zu verschieben, um weiterhin zu Kandidaturen aufzurufen. Eine Wahl der studentischen Mitglieder der Sozialfondskommission soll idealerweise am 10.01.2023 auf der Sitzung des Studierendenparlaments stattfinden.
we have decided to postpone the application deadline to 06.01.2023 in order to continue to call for candidatures. An election of the student members of the Social Fund Commission should ideally take place on 10.01.2023 at the meeting of the Student Parliament.
Liebe Studierende,
das Studierendenparlament der Universität Potsdam sucht neue studentische Mitglieder für die Sozialfondskommission, welche voraussichtlich am 10. Januar 2023 gewählt werden sollen.
Die Sozialfondskommission entscheidet über Anträge auf Förderung aus dem Sozialfonds und die Befreiung vom Semesterticket aus sozialen Gründen. Diese Anträge werden von der Semesterticketsachbearbeitung des AStA vorbereitet und der Sozialfondskommission zur Entscheidung vorgelegt. Informationen zum Sozialfonds findet ihr auf der AStA-Webseite [1].
Eure Amtszeit beträgt zwei Semester und ihr erhaltet eine Aufwandsentschädigung in Höhe von 30 Euro pro Sitzungsteilnahme.
Was solltet Ihr mitbringen?
Ihr solltet Interesse an sozialen Belangen der Studierenden und entsprechendes Verständnis für die Antragsstellenden mitbringen, welche sich häufig in finanziellen Notlagen befinden. Kenntnisse im Sozialrecht sind zudem gerne gesehen, aber nicht nötig. Es ist unbedingt erforderlich, dass ihr Zeit für Treffen der Sozialfondskommission habt, und, je nach Bedarf, mindestens alle 2 Monate für ein Treffen zur Verfügung steht.

Eure Bewerbung, mit einem kurzen Motivationsschreiben einschließlich Vorstellung, richtet ihr bitte per E-Mail an das Studierendenparlament: mitglieder@stupa.uni-potsdam.de. Außerdem stellt ihr euch am besten auf der Sitzung in der die Wahl des Mitgliedes stattfindet selbst dem Studierendenparlament vor.

Dear students,
The Student Parliament of the University of Potsdam is looking candidates for the Social Fund Commission, which is to be elected by the Student Parliament on 10th of January 2023.
The Social Fund Commission decides on applications for support from the Social Fund and exemption from the semester ticket for social reasons. These applications are prepared by the AStA’s semester ticket department and submitted to the Social Fund Commission for a decision. You can find information about the social fund on the AStA website [1].
Your term of office is two semesters and you will receive an expense allowance of 30 € per meeting you attended.
What should you bring with you?
You should be interested in the social needs of students and have a good understanding for the applicants, who are often in financial needs. Knowledge of social law is also welcome, but not necessary. It is absolutely necessary that you do have time for meetings of the Social Fund Committee, and depending on the workload can take part in meetings at least every two months.

It is also best if you introduce yourself to the student parliament at the meeting in which the new member shall be elected.
